DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT : MARKARIAN

Markarian is based in New York City and was founded in 2017 by Alexandra O'Neil. Alexandra's grandmother taught her to sew at the age of 10 and her love of fashion and creating grew from there! She was inspired to design clothing that is whimsical and fun but well-made and still meant to be worn. As a designer, Alexandra wants her work to be the perfect combination of celestial romanticism, timeless design, and modern grace.

Along with beautiful bridal designs, Alexandra creates luxury evening wear that is both modern and striking and has been featured in Vogue, Bazar, Forbes, etc. The brand Markarian became more of a household name for designing First lady Jill Biden's inauguration dress and coat in 2021. Since then the brand has become very popular and Alexandra has gone on to dress many high-profile celebrities such as Kerry Washington, Lizzo, Constance Wu, Kate Hudson, Felicity Jones, and Andie MacDowell.

*The Idra*
The Idra is a stunningly romantic gown for the perfect garden wedding and the perfect romantic bride.
