DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT : CAROLINE TAKVORIAN
Caroline Takvorian is a French fashion house known for her effeminate and timeless wedding dresses. She first sought a career in fashion as a costume designer but quickly graduated to interning for designer brands and eventually found herself at Isabel Marant.
In 2011 Caroline launched her brand in women's ready-to-wear. However, after her engagement, she developed an interest in and fascination with wedding dresses. She relaunched in 2014 with her first bridal designs using natural and environmentally friendly materials.
Caroline continued to create and design gowns with an expression of femininity and timelessness while finding ways to modernize her designs. Every dress is made with French crepe, silk muslin, and delicate laces that provide a handcrafted comfortable fit and feel.
The Jagger
Chic and comfortable this dress is made for a bride who wants to feel relaxed and elegant. Modern and sophisticated this dress has a flowing silk skirt that moves like the flow of running water. The high slit in the skirt enhances the volume and movement of this gown. The floral applique on the bodice provides a handmade touch and a little bit of sparkle to a perfectly delicate cream mesh. The shoulders are elevated by tulle and add a little extra drama to a very sleek and stunning gown.
The Gaia
This darling gown is for all romantics out there! A simple silhouette paired with a vine-textured bodice and a rippling A-line skirt. This gown catches the eye with an unusual and enchanting neckline. The vine and leave applique is crafted with silk crepe and tulle to add a delicate texture and softness to the bodice. The shoulders are capped with hidden tulle to emphasize the neckline. Light beading accents complement the natural leaf and vine pattern. The skirt is organically draped to the figure with a slit as the fabulous finishing touch.

The Lenny + Joey Top

Handcrafted with silk muslin and French crepe this dress is the definition of effortless. The skirt is cut to echo behind a bride’s carefree steps. Two extra pleats on either side of the zipper add fabric and flow to the train.
The Joey is handmade with traditional lace. Three buttons down the upper back leave space for the lace to overlay the exposed back for a little extra attitude. High and low necklines contrast creating a chic layering look. Tulle buried in lace at the shoulder adds excitement to the silhouette. And the full-length sleeve with wrist detailing adds a little needed romance. All that is left to complete the look is the perfect wide-brimmed hat!
The Moss
Bold and adventurous the Moss is for a city bride to loves to explore the world around her. This dress is daring and unique with its striking plunge neckline. Lined in the front and supported with a thin mesh overlay across the bodice, this dress is supporting and comfortable. The waistband layers silk crepe and lace together as it rounds the waist and slopes downward in the back. On display from the shoulder to the low back is a traditional lace that Caroline has modernized within the floral detailing. A thick and soft silk crepe A-line skirt completes this adventurous gown.
